GROOVALIZACION RADIO RECOMMENDS:
TootArd – Laissez Passer (Glitterbeat)
The members of TootArd grew up in the village of Majdal Shams in the Golan. Inhabitants of the Golan Heights aren’t Israelis and don't have any citizenship. Just a 'Laissez Passer'. Beginning in 2010, TootArd played all over the Golan Heights, then travelled further, to Jerusalem, Palestine and gigged a lot. On Laissez Passer, they now found their own voice - an Arabic blues for those who have a home but no nationality. TootArd connects West Africa and the Maghreb to the Levant both musically and socially. Their music travels from the Levant to the Tuareg – another people without a real home - and reaches out far beyond.
